Licence terms
What a licence lets you do, how many installations it covers, and the things it does not permit.

1. The grant
On payment in full, Nxlogy Solutions Private Limited grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the software, subject to these terms. The licence is perpetual: it does not expire, and the software does not stop working.
We retain all right, title and interest in the software, including its source code, design and trade marks. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything.
2. How many installations
Each licence covers one production site — one live domain serving real visitors. In addition it covers staging and local development installations, up to the number shown on the product page. A staging or local installation does not consume your production activation, so you can develop and test without buying a second licence.
You may deploy a licence on a site you do not own — a client site, for example — provided the licence is used for that one production site only. You get a number of free domain resets each year, shown on the product page; beyond that, ask support and we will usually say yes.
A multisite network, or a single installation serving many domains, is not one production site. Talk to us about the right licence for that.
3. What you may do
- Install and use the software on the sites your licence covers.
- Modify it for your own use on those sites. We do not support modified copies, and a modification does not become ours to maintain.
- Install it for a client, and hand the site over — the licence stays with whoever holds the account it was bought under.
- Keep using every installed copy permanently, including after updates and support have lapsed.
4. What you may not do
- Redistribute the software — publishing it, sharing it, bundling it into a theme or product, or making it available for download, whether or not for payment, and whether or not you modified it first.
- Resell or sublicense it, or transfer your licence to someone else without our written consent.
- Share your licence key so that others can install the software without their own licence.
- Remove or alter licensing, attribution or build markers in the files we supply, or circumvent licence or update checks.
- Use it to create a product that competes with it.
Each build we serve carries a marker identifying the licence it was made for. It survives ordinary editing. Where a copy of our software turns up somewhere it should not be, we read that marker, and it tells us which account the copy came from.
5. Open-source components
Our WordPress plugins contain PHP that is licensed under the GPL, as WordPress requires. Those portions carry their GPL rights. Everything else we ship — images, stylesheets, JavaScript, fonts, and the licensing and update components — is licensed only under these terms and is not GPL. Third-party components we bundle keep their own licences, listed in each product.
6. Updates and support
Updates and support are included for the period stated on the product page, starting on the date of purchase. When that period ends:
- Every installed site keeps working, permanently. Nothing is deactivated or degraded.
- New feature releases stop arriving until you renew.
- Security fixes continue to be made available.
Renewing restores both. We are not obliged to produce any particular update, feature or release.
7. Licence verification
The software contacts our servers to confirm the licence is valid and to check for updates, sending the domain it is installed on, the licence key, and version information. That is described in the privacy policy. If our servers cannot be reached, the software keeps working.
8. Ending the licence
This licence ends immediately if you breach it — most obviously by redistributing the software. On ending, you must stop using it and remove it from every site. No refund is due, and sections 4, 9 and the limitation of liability in our terms of service survive.
A licence refunded under the refund policy is revoked when the refund is issued. The product is removed from your account, the key stops working, and you must remove the software from your sites.
9. Enforcement
Unauthorised redistribution is copyright infringement as well as a breach of this licence. We pursue it, and the build markers described in section 4 mean we are usually able to identify the source. We would much rather sell you the right licence than do any of that — if you are unsure whether what you want to do is permitted, ask us first.
